My home is my retreat
With so many of us on stay at home status, I thought it would be a good time to discuss ways to make the most of being home and ways to make your home a retreat. This is more important now than ever but honestly, this is always important to our emotional and physical health.
My home is the safe haven that I long for after a tiring day. Home is where I can rest and relax in peace. It is a home where I can renew my strength to face the demands of life with fresh energy.
When I enter my house, I am immediately soothed by the colors of the walls. My home is decorated to my liking, in a way that makes me feel at ease. From the art on the walls to the textures of my furniture, I love everything about my house.
Do you feel this way about you home? If not, what can you do to make some small changes moving in this direction?
I rid myself quickly of anything in my house that weighs me down. As I free my home from clutter and disorganization, my stress level decreases. I keep my home beautiful because I deserve to have a serene place to take refuge from the world.
This is the perfect time to look at releasing things from your home and your life that are no longer serving you.
I have a comfortable place to sit and unwind. I have created a space where I can quietly meditate and reflect, away from the noise of the world. My home is like a magnet to the peace within me. Whenever I am at home, my soul overflows with peace.
Do you have this space in your home? If not, it is the perfect time to create one.
Today, I plan to evaluate my home and make it my perfect retreat. I am determined to change anything that prevents peace, whether in the appearance or the atmosphere, because I owe it to myself.
Self-Reflection Questions:
- Where is my favorite place to sit in my home?
- Can I remove anything in my house to increase my peace?
- How do I feel when I first walk into my home?
Take advantage of this time to create a home for yourself that you love and feel peaceful in. Sending you much love and blessings.
